See My Island
Directed by Lauren Ritchie
Years after attending a transformative environmental arts camp on Eleuthera called See My Island, three Bahamian girls are stepping into adolescence carrying the creative tools to navigate climate change, cultural loss, and the question of belonging.
See My Island follows Madison, Mara, and Cici as they use their art to preserve the island that shaped them and to assert their confidence and agency in a world where their voices are rarely centered.
This film offers a hopeful portrait of young Caribbean women actively shaping their futures. At a time when small islands are reduced to luxury destinations and disaster headlines, this film insists on seeing those who call the place home. This film celebrates their courage, their imagination, and their refusal to let their island, or their voices, fade.

Preserve Our Heritage, Protect Our Future
Written & Directed by Lauren Ritchie
This piece depicts The Bahamas’ once-thriving ecosystems, which were nurtured by a harmonious relationship with nature, but are now fading due to exploitation and climate change. Conch, a symbol of Bahamian culture and a cornerstone of local cuisine, is highlighted as a critical marine resource in decline, vital to the livelihoods of many. It illustrates the deep connection between Bahamian communities and both the land and sea. And it serves as a call to action: to restore our bond with the earth, honor and share traditional wisdom, and remember the importance of safeguarding our natural resources and cultural identity.
